Beauveria Bassiana
Natural fungal disease of insects.
Specific to insects.
Does NOT affect humans or animals
Has been used to control insect pests in horticulture and agriculture for many years.
Dormant spores are sprayed onto surfaces most likely to come in contact with bed beds. Once a bed bug crosses the surface, the spores attach, germinate, and quickly grow inside the bed bug feeding on nutrients and producing toxins in the process. Remains effective for up to 3 months.
This process is very promising – too early to tell.
There are still “bugs” to work out including its delivery system and how high humidity affects its efficacy.
Still testing. Hope to know more soon!
